David is a science graduate of the University of Melbourne and also has diplomas in education, theology and organ. After a brief career in teaching, he furthered his musical studies with Peter Hurford at St Albans Cathedral, England and with Karl Hochreither at the Berlin Church Music School. From 1988-2000 he was Director of the Melbourne International Festival of Organ and Harpsichord. He has given numerous recitals in Australia and recorded for 3MBS-FM and the ABC as well as lecturing on various musical topics for the CAE. On several European tours he has performed in Germany, Italy, Spain, Denmark, France and England. He is Director of Music at the Basilica of Our Lady of Victories, Camberwell and Organist of Queen's College at the University of Melbourne.
